… was the sound I didn’t hear as the snow fell last night. I live in a basement apartment; when I look out my window, all I see is white. I’m hoping the snow acts like an insulator so I can lower my heating bill… I am an optimist! I’m going to spend the rest of the evening knitting, drinking tea out of the cute cup (with a cozy!) that DeeDee gave me for Christmas, and watching Hawaii 5-0, which is dreadful.

so I don’t really have much time to post! I’ll get up a proper post tomorrow, when the tea is done, the documentaries are over, and my wrists feel like they’re about to snap off from knitting too much.

The weather is going to be wretched this weekend, so I’m having some tea and watching the fifth estate. Bliss!
I went to the doctor today to get the results of some test I had a few weeks ago. Much to my surprise (and to the doctor’s surprise, as evidenced in his delivery of the news), I have very healthy blood, cholesterol, blood sugars, kidneys, glucose, and a healthy thyroid and liver. I am lucky. But, if I don’t start eating better, sleeping and exercising more, I won’t have many more results like today’s.
And a dead jlmack can’t really make blog posts (well, not very coherent ones), so I’m going to have to get cracking. I’m going to pick up some deliciousness at the market tomorrow morning, have some coffee, and get to the gym. I have a new iPod, so I can shake my money maker to some Roxette tunes. Not really. I never liked Roxette, but I do have some crappy music on there. I have ‘Heart and Soul’ by T’Pau! Hahaha,

Tea love February 1, 2010
I’ve had a horrible struggle with vertigo today, so I am full of the dizzies. I can’t take Gravol, because it raises the pressure in my eyes. But, I can drink tea! Peppermint tea! Ginger tea! And use my lovely CorningWare blue cornflower teapot. I got this off of eBay last year, and it makes me happy. My grandmother had one, and I always wanted one. I’m not going to lie, the tea tastes much happier when made in this pot. When you come to visit me, I’ll make a pot for us!

I am a HUGE Law & Order fan. I’ve loved the show for as long as it has been on. I love all three current incarnations of the show. I love Jeff Goldblum on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. I love Ice T and Richard Belzer on Law & Order SVU. I love Jeremy Sisto on the regular L&O.
I have a pin that says ‘Doink Doink’ in the Law and Order font. ‘Doink Doink’ is one of the names the cast have for the sound between scenes on the show.
Now, I have the iconic New York diner coffee cup that you see on practically every episode. I ordered it from Greenfeet (after my lovely friend, Leah, had sent me the link) and it arrived today. How thrilled am I?
